As simple as that, you will always get the joy before the pain, vice versa, you will always get the pain before the joy. You will never be able to have one or the other all the time. If you say you’re happy all the time, that’s like saying you made a jelly sandwich without the fucking peanut butter, that ain’t right. Happiness, sadness, joy, pain and whatever other expressions that describe how you feel are all emulated.
